"Clapton" knobs...

Postby Roadrunner » Sun Nov 09, 2008 10:44 am

A friend of mine wants a JTM45 built to "early"(ier) specs and he'd like the "Clapton" knobs with it. I've seen them on Brian's amps and I believe Blockhead had some sort of "Clapton" knob thing with one of their models as well.

Where does one find these knobs?

Why are they called Clapton knobs? Where they on EC's Bluesbreaker?

Thanks in advance!

I think they were on his first JTM45/100.

I was looking in the Marshall book last night and maybe it's got something to do with that JTM45 that's pictured on page 19?

Thanks 908!

I wonder when he was supposed to have used that amp? I don't ever remember Eric using a JTM45. There is a mention of his using one for a short time with the BB. Here is a review of Erics gear.http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/forum/showthread.php?t=913820
