What were the amp settings during this recording?

Hi, Thanks for answering Brian. I recorded it with a sm57 beta turned 90 degrees from the speaker face, about 10cm from the speaker, and inbetween the inner rim, and outer rim of the speaker. Guitar is a tokai 150gt les paul. The amp was on the bright ch only, vol 8 tre 8 mid 10 bass 2 pres 8, i used the guitar vol for vol control. I haven't used any fx just guitar & amp. The speakers are scumback m75 65watt, in a 4x12 marshall 1960 box. I was wanting to ask you what sort of speakers would you recommend.

Thanks

I use a 2x12 with reissue blues in it wired for 8 ohms, I also use a 4x12 with G12M 20W speakers.

What is the amp biased at?

Hi Brian, The amp is biased at 40ma, I have also a 2x12 with a g12h30 & a v30 in there and the bass is a lot tighter. I think the 4x12 is a bit much for the jtm, or the jtm is a bit much for the box. I going to change my pickups next week, i have ordered a set of Häussel humbuckers see how they turn out.

Thanks

Hi, So i have done another clip, but this time i have new pickups from Häussel, they are made in Germany, and i have also bought a new mic, it is a sennheiser e606.
In the clip i have the amp at 10, and used the vol on the guitar.

I would be glad of any feedback.
