Wallace '67 50w

I own the Wallace 50w prototype. It's tube rectified, making it a JTM50, plus I modded it, with Brian's help, to accept KT66s. So you figure it out. I guess it's a JTM50-meets-JTM45. Here are a few pix:






It's matched with a '65 Marshall 412 that I converted to a '68, using original grille, handles and parts off of a '68 BW, and loaded w/ Eminence Red Fang Alnicos. I named the cab "Gromit". They are hysterical together...in a very serious way, of course.

Brian, it's EZ, you make great amps. I just picked up a '65 JTM45/100 from Patrick Robinson and we talked about that terrific 45/100 you made. I haven't heard one of your amps that wasn't excellent, beginning with that first brown cab JTM45 we had here back in '03. I remember Gary Winterflood hearing that amp and remarking about how terrific and authentic it sounded.

I should have sent you the 66 45/100 I made this year. I think you would have really liked that amp.

I do have plans on making some more amps of my own design soon. The Abaddon was just the start.

Well, that Abaddon is a terrific design. I'm guessing that the '66 JTM45/100 is a single OPT model?

I had to sell off some gear to raise cash and I almost sold my Wallace & Gromit. But I came to my senses! Instead I sold another amp and cab so I could keep my beloved Wallace & Gromit. I'm returning the Wallace to its original EL34 specs. And I took the Eminence Red Fangs out of the Gromit (60s 412) and loaded it with Heritage G12M20s.

I'm glad to hear you were able to keep Wallace and Gromit together. That's the coolest amp rig ever.
