Marstran Powered '50... the Tone Machine:

Postby Roadrunner » Tue Nov 04, 2008 3:14 pm

'67 JTM50.

PT: Marstran 1202-118, with the new "hi" and "lo" HT taps.
OT: Marstran 784-128
Choke: Marstran C1999

The latest and greatest... sounds like records, the old records we know and love! I built this for a friend who wanted all the old parts on it. I'm doing another one now with the "normal" stuff... Sozo's etc., Bet it sounds just as good.

Thanks for making those killer transformers Brian!!

Thanks! :D

The HT tap has connections for lower voltage, around 370v I believe and high (or "normal", for lack of a better word) voltage. I did the high voltage setup for this amp and it's running right around 420 volts... depending on the AC at the wall.

The panels came from Ceriatone for this one but "Sparky" on the Metro forum make some too... his are just killer. I'm doing another '50 this week with the "Sparky" panels. I'll post a pic when I'm done.
