Pl Help identifying super lead 100 trannys 1969

Postby daantje2 » Fri Jul 06, 2012 3:49 pm

I recently bought a old Super lead 100 from 1969. The PT ist the original Laying trafo. But i was told it is a old one.
Can somebody identify the OT and PT for me? Is there a way to get a old original Dagnall for this marshall? Or do you expect this to sound good also??

Thanks for helping me!

Kind regards,

Daan

How strange!

The OT looks to be the original C1998 Dagnall ( 8) 8) ).

The PT looks like a T2562 laydown type Dagnall fitted with stand up endcovers and mounted in a laydown type chassis!

I cannot see if any wires are coming from the endcover nearest the end of the chassis (means all the wires exit one side of the PT ie is a laydown type).

I suggest that you remove the PT carefully and take the endbells off, either source another old plain cover or remove the feet from one of yours, then remount that PT properly (the cloth covered heater wires go nearest the back of the chassis).

Yo can source the correct mounting ring to cover the holes made by the numpty who drilled the chassis.

Do this carefully and with neat wiring runs and the amp will be back to stock appearances  .
