The two data books contain info on "mustard", "tropical fish" and "chicklet" types. Small mystery solved for the chicklet types--namely some 680nF I have since some sources seem to give the type as polycarbonate. (According to the datasheet) the higher voltage (400V) ones are polycarbonate, but the lower ones are metallized polyester (I suspected that was what they were). The yellow ones in original Marshalls (which look from the same time period as the 10nFs in vintage Fuzz Faces) look like an earlier variety though w/different markings.

another from 1974-75:

(from skimming them again) another small "keeper of the nerd knowledge" discovery...

Apparently "8017B" (which is marked on some of the 680nF250V yellow "chicklet" types found in some old Marshalls) indicates a post office spec.
