1204-43 and 1202-84 wiring

Postby BoogieEngineer » Thu Jul 19, 2012 5:01 am

I've got a few questions regarding those trannies for my JTm45/100 build

1. For the 1202-84: for the input wires (black, brown, red), which one goes to V5, V6, and power board respectively? And where does the orange on the output side go?
2. For the 1204-43, please tell me if this is right: B and D (490V taps) go to the power board, C to HT fuse, and F to IEC socket and lamp.
3. Do I miss some thing or is the above all trannies connections (including of course connections to impedance & voltage selectors)?

Thanks for the help!

But I would quite like to know which way round the primaries should be, but I am not taking chances (I am building another 45/100 to Hendrix/Dickinson spec).

My first build is here (if it helps?):

You can see on the middle picture where I had to reroute the brown wire that was going to V4 and V5 (with brown link between the inner and outer of the pair) to pin 3 of V6 instead. If they are the wrong way round it is pretty typical (Metro or Marstran) so do as suggested.
Brian is no always on the forum btw

Thanks Neil, the MetroAmp's topic is mine too :) I just wanted to confirm with Brian. I guess you're using the Metro OT in the pics? Because on the Marstran the Brown should be the center tap as you explained earlier, right.
