JMP 50?

Is this amp a lash up? Is it original? You get the point.

JMP 50?

Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't this look like an early JMP 50?

Yeah I don't know what that was, incomplete/wrong transformer codes listed which basically doesn't say anything. Don't look like a 69' head box with those wooden blocks does it?

The title is misleading "Rare ORIGINAL Vintage JTM 45 Marshall Amplifier 1965" Then goes into the details of what's not original, the transformers , head box and a few parts  Then we have JMP front panel, Iskra resistors and later turrets, transformers look nice :D

Yes it is, early 67 (I have one the same) people seem to think that alloy chassis = JTM45.

Mine has 784-128OT, 1202-118PT and 352-114 choke i.e. all the same parts, sounds great, more gain than you would expect, it must be one of those plexis that people talk of as covering clean to mean with the guitar. To put it into perspective I recently sold an all original '65 JTM4 and '68 JMP50 (1987) because this covers both territories well.

There are some early block chassis 50 watters in the database as early as serial number IIRC ser.2002 , maybe earlier with JTM45 front panels.
Just looking at your pics, what a beautiful amp :D

What I have come across as far as Marshall amps being pieced together would be the Kitchen amps. They seem to be early aluminum chassis, JYM45 stuff, with later transformers and parts from the JMP era.
