the amps works very well but I have a little oscillation that I try to get rid of without restorting to using a 100pf cap across one of the 100k plate resistors

There is something weird with this php program it doesn't allow over size pictures it just cuts them off and there is no way to scroll to see the picture. I always resize mine so I only noticed for the first time a couple days ago with one picture I posted that was a bit bigger. I also noticed I posted three pictures yesterday they showed up at first not they show as links don't now why that would happen.

If you upload the pictures to the site, it will resize them automatically.

Right click view image allows you to see the whole picture.

I made the links as they appeared as IMAGE only when I viewed the thread..

I can't click view image it is grayed out. Are those closeups not huge images? I see an image it is so close up I assumed that it was only part of the image.

the oscillation went away when I changed preamp tubes from jj and groove tube to tungsram and tele ribbed plate.
I experimented a bit with different values. ended up with 220uf v1 cathode bypass cap, 500pf bright cap and .027uf pi coupling caps. reducing the v1 cathode cap is good for tight riff but you loose that EC (and hendrix) sound, esp. the lead sound. reducing the coupling caps reduces bass without taking away as much gain. Also, I use .018uf after v1, not because I don't have .022ufs but because I'd like to tame the bass just a tad. having said that, this amp has a much tighter and more powerful bottom that the jtm45. the bass control and the presence control are much more useful than on my jtm45. The amp has about 30 hours on it now BTW.

I found a solution but not the best one yet for the picture width problem. This solution makes the actual template wider so it will allow the full picture to be shown. OK but not the right way to do it. :) Still working on it when I can.

OK, I found a good mod that resizes the large image to fit the page. You can now right click on the image, select view image and then you should see a magnifying glass with a plus sign. Left click the mouse and it will allow you to view it in it's full state.

Well it looks a lot better to me. I think I see the whole picture now in any case. I also have a screen wide enough for the board no scroll bars and no wasted boarder but not every one will have that. Not sure if this web board sizes automatically or not.

The mod I installed resizes the image automatically. The pictures that Roe posted are extremely large and now they are resized smaller on the page in their entirety.

Man, Roe... that's just too cool! My next personal amp going to be a 45/100. I can't wait to build it.

Thanks for the pics!

actually, that is a komet 60 clone. I don't like the concorde personally. although I like most komet and trainwreck type amps. the komet 60 likes sylvania 6ca7s
