Stupid question

Assuming all things elsewise are the same.
What would be the difference in tone using a 784-128 verses a 784-139

assuming lead specs across the board, split cathode, .022 couplers, 68 filtering, yadda yadda.
Tesla brown base EL34s and probably a mix of GE, and sylvania preamp tubes.

I think brian said that the 128 would have a little more bass

Thanks Roe.

I'm thinking of putting a new transformer in my JTM45. Don't really use it as a JTM, so might as well convert it over to a JTM50/JMP...it's probably more JMP than anything. With a lot less filtering. LOL

to get an idea of how a ot change will affect tone and response, run a 4 ohms load from the 8 ohms out (or 8 from the 16)

Good thought thanks roe
So it may be rather subtle from a tone standpoint but be much louder with the 50 watt OT.

Hmmm
