new Marstran 1202-132 in old 67 plexi dual bridge rectifiers

Postby Giz » Mon Dec 09, 2013 5:13 pm

Can't wait to get it soon ! (right now, the amp has an old Dagnall in it (from a 1972 Super bass ) since so many years now !
Is there a layout somewhere on that specific 1967 Marshall (steel chassis, 4-8-16 ohms selector switch, dual bridge rectifiers, original Drake 1203-80 power transformer 2.5” stack, 270K mixer resistors, headcab has the narrow vent.

Thanks !

Interesting combination.

The narrow vent dual rectifier steel chassis is normally 470k mixers (typically a 'Black Flag' front panel logo).

With 270k mixers usually a 1202-119 OT and aluminium chassis, here is mine:

We need to see pics of yours!

Sounds like the correct OT would be the same 1202-119 but if you selector has 4/8 and 16 ohm taps then a 1202-132 would more likely to be the one.
I know Brian does those spec OTs

This is my amp :

has a few filter caps mods done, but most of the resistances and small caps are completely original on the breadboard and have never been touched.

So the 270K mixers, look to be original on mine.

serial number is : SL/10245
