OT option

Postby Mullard » Sun Sep 28, 2014 8:34 pm

I'm looking for a OT that comes close to this spec to get a EL34 project amp going
With my sig. gen. set to 1vac and 1 kHz, I plugged in to the #3 pin sockets of my donor amp.
With my VOM I measured .045vac on the two secondary wires,
so 1vac divided by .045vac = 22.2222222
22.2222222 X 22.2222222 = 493.82716
Now this donor amp only has a 16 ohm tape but I'm thinking it might need settle for a 8 ohm
493.82716 X 16 ohm = 7901.23455 pri load
493.82716 x 8 ohm = 3950.61728 pri load

So what are the chances someone has or knows of something like that?

Thank you, Dai
I think these Deluxe OTs fit the bill, but I might want optional Impedance taps later and yes I would ask Brian if he could wind something for me.
