Seems like hype talk to me. It's just an OT. :)

I can do a tear down thread for that but I have a few others ahead of them first.
Remember....You can fix it with a little extra energy and a positive attitude. ;)

I can wait!
I have two 100w with me here, one Vamp pretty much intact (just needs a cap job and check over) and a Johnson that has had the power board and output board replaced by tag strips. The board with preamp valves is intact but needs a clean and rebuild. I will be using the Vamp boards as patterns to make new ones, but I will be using bus wire rather than the dodgy primitive pcbs.
Excellent article here on a restoration of one, the one I have here is a lot worse.
The iron seems intact but I am not sure what rating the chassis top heater fuse wires are!?
